Collections Supervisor
Do you have team lead or! supervisory experience in a medical collections environment? Are you looking to join a healthcare industry leader? If so, please take a closer look.
Ensures all claim forms are completed, of good quality and submitted for payment in a timely fashion.
Ensures all claims are properly released.
Maintains a quality standard of all billing and collection functions at all times.
Maintains the billing hold report (MIA) to remain at an acceptable level at all times.
Ensures collection efforts conform to policy and procedures.
Reviews all accounts receivable adjustments for accuracy and upper management approval.
Provides support to all area branches on reimbursement related issues.
Interfaces with all reimbursement management for understanding of new regulations and procedures.
Orients new employees.
Trains all employees to maintain a high level of skill and knowledge of their positions.

Gathers and reports daily, weekly and monthly productivity standards.
Completes all employee performance appraisals in a timely fashion.
Ensures all employees adhere to company and departmental policies.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. These responsibilities include interviewing, recommending for hire, and educating employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and problems.
The number of subordinates will vary depending on the size of the department.
Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.
Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent, plus a minimum of two years supervisor experience and experience in home healthcare billing, collections or operations.
Familiarity with medical terminology. Excellent training and comm! unication skills.
Able to manage tasks and projects to success! ful completion.
Ability to work well with others.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires constant sitting with occasional walking, standing, kneeling or stooping.
This position requires the use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects and the ability to reach with hands and arms.
This position requires constant talking and hearing.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
This position must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
