Description: Bethesda Health Group is currently interviewing RN / LPN right now, this position will be placed in Missouri. The RN/LPN is responsible for the well being and nursing care of all residents assigned during his/her shift or tour of duty. This includes, but is not limited to: providing nursing services; assisting in carrying out! physicianâs orders; assessing residents to note any changes in residentâs conditions; responding and reporting to residentâs changes in condition; distribution of medications, charting of medication, distribution/count of narcotics and maintenance of narcotic inventory record; and responding to emergencies.
The ideal candidate for this position is a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, holds a current, unencumbered license as a RNLPN in this state, and has a minimum of two years experience in the field.
The following is a representative list of duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
-- Visit each resident on unit, assess needs, and assign nursing staff to care for residents during shift, or tour of duty
-- Receive physicianâs orders in resident care. Make rounds with physicians and record the rounds in residentâs charts
-- Distribute medications and chart distribution of medications in residentâs charts ! according to established standards and regulations
-- Coun! t narcotics and maintain accurate record of narcotic inventory/count
-- Participate with the interdisciplinary team, in the development and updates of the Resident Assessment and Comprehensive Care Plan as residentâs conditions change
-- Attend treatment and care plan meetings as needed
-- Assist with charting of all clinical and nursing care provided to residents
-- Ensure charting is accurate, done in a timely manner, and meets established standards and regulations
-- Provide consultation, information, and support to residents and their families as needed
-- Ensure information is transferred regarding resident care and condition as related to nursing services at shift change report i.e. shift beginning and shift ending
-- Participate in staff development programs, in-service training and staff meetings
-- Provide emergency care as appropriate, in accordance with physician orders and advance directives
-- Overall management and impleme! ntation of resident care plan, documentation in care plan of residentâs progress and change in condition
-- Assures that all safety and infection control practices are followed
-- Provide care in accordance with Federal, State, and Local Regulations
-- Perform other duties as assigned and needed to ensure the quality of comprehensive nursing care and other general care to residents
