facility, is a leading provider of behavioral health care in the
Kansas City area o! n both an inpatient and outpatient basis. For the
past 25 years the facility has provided 24-hour care for individuals
in need. We currently have a position available for a
full-time Registered Nurse on our Adolescent inpatient
unit. The successful candidate will have the following
responsibilities:
The R.N. Staff Nurse provides professional nursing
care in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Two
Rivers Behavioral Health System and the ANA Standards of
Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care. The R.N. Staff Nurse
prescribes coordinates and delegates nursing care utilizing the
nursing process, which is integrated into the multidisciplinary
treatment team plan of care. The R.N. Staff Nurse is accountable for
assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible
for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the
unit. The R.N. Staff Nurse may also assu! me Charge Nurse
responsibilities as required.
Thi! s day shift positions includes a rotating
weekend schedule with generous differentials.
Requirements
Competitive pay and benefits are available for
this full-time opportunity to work 7:00 am to 3:30 pm on
weekdays / alternate weekend shifts with our
Adolescent Unit population.
Education: Graduate of an
accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
Experience:
One year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing
preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Licensure and
registration by the Missouri Board of Nurse Examiners as a registered
nurse.
Knowledge: Must possess knowledge of general and
psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and
processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis
and behavior management and CPR training.
