facility, is a leading provider of behavioral health care in! the
Kansas City area on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. For the
past 25 years the facility has provided 24-hour care for individuals
in need. We currently have a position available for a Registered
Nurse to work on full-time basis during the week with a rotating
weekend schedule. The successful candidate will have the following
responsibilities:
The R.N. Staff
Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a
manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Two Rivers
Hospital and the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental
Health Care. The R.N. Staff Nurse prescribes coordinates and
delegates nursing care utilizing the nursing process, which is
integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care.
Specific duties include the completing the admission and discharge
process, medication management, providing nursing groups as well as
other duties a! s assigned. The R.N. Staff Nurse may also assume Charge
Nu! rse responsibilities as required.
Requirements
The RN selected for this position will work a
full-time day shift schedule (40 hours a week) on our adult unit from
7:00 am to 3:30 pm weekdays including alternate weekends.
Requirements include the following:
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing
program. BSN preferred.
Experience: One year prior
psychiatric experience in mental health nursing preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Licensure and registration by the Missouri
Board of Nurse Examiners as a registered nurse.
Knowledge: Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric
nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age
specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior
management and CPR training.
