Position Title: Functional Analyst

Reports to: Vice President – Professional Services Line of Business

Subsidiary: Leisnoi Enterprise Solutions, LLC

Location: Remote

Job Status: Regular Part-Time


Position Summary

Leisnoi Enterprise Solutions, LLC has an immediate need for a Functional Analyst with experience across an Enterprise environment, having the knowledge to implement technical business projects and solutions. Ability to work with stakeholders and technical team members to map, analyze and document business processes, workflows, and projects. A skillset for strategic design and mapping of business requirements and solutions to system/technical requirements. The candidate must be able to provide customized dashboards, standard reporting and standard operating procedures that support integrated scheduling. The candidate should be skilled with Microsoft Project and SharePoint and other industry leading tools.

This role receives assignments and reports directly to the Lead supporting USDA Governance Services Division (GSD). The position is integral to our success at USDA and providing our client with the most organized and professional team members to meet their expectations.

This is a part-time remote position. Candidates must reside in the U.S. and be a U.S. citizen. Willingness to travel up to 10% in the U.S.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Works effectively and individually with Technical and Non-Technical team members and customers
  • Shares similar mentality as existing team members toward customer satisfaction and success
  • Oversees, and has accountability for the successful completion of all aspects of assigned project work
  • Able to exercise independent judgment, and take the lead role on enterprise level project with minimal direction from a director or engagement manager
  • Able to effectively facilitate meetings, demonstrate brainstorming / consensus building skills, and interact with executive level project sponsors
  • Outlining, defining and initiating project(s)
  • Implementing document control policies and documentation templates
  • Maintaining a good working knowledge of assigned component projects
  • Monitoring project progress and implementing changes where necessary
  • Ensuring compliance with objectives, organizational policies, procedures and standards
  • Compiling project reports and informing management regarding problems
  • Ensuring project complies with best practices, SOPs, PMO policies and other policies

Basic Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science or related field preferred
  • Two or more years of business analysis experience
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively prepare and maintain the following documents/tools:
    • Business Process
    • Process Flow Analysis
    • Experience working with developers
    • Detailed Functional Design
    • Executive Summaries
    • Project Plans
  • Strong comprehension skills for understanding needs and developing and applying solutions.
  • Ability to identify, initiate, manage, and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent prioritization and multitasking capabilities
  • Strong leadership skills to train, guide, and mentor the work
  • Personal computer and business solutions software skills
  • Strong ability to create and maintain formal and informal networks
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% within in the U.S.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies

Preferred Qualifications and Skills (not mandatory)

  • Strong Governance & Compliance background desired.
  • ITIL certification or knowledge of the ITIL framework.
  • Extensive experience in vendor coordination and support for service area technologies including collaboration and team analysis.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple programs, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and switch between tasks quickly.
