DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
The mission is to prosecute and defend cases and matters on behalf of the federal government.
REQUIRED AND DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Provide up to three (3) professional references.
Previous experience is required
Excellent attention to detail
Experience with Microsoft Office
Ability to multitask effectively
High School Degree or equivalent
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Data Entry Clerk, shall provide legal services to include the following:
1. Serve as a technician in the area of financial litigation and is responsible for directly and independently supporting Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) by providing a wide variety of technical assistance services.
2. Perform a wide range of technical support duties involving the processing of cases within the financial litigation function.
3. Use a variety of automated systems to conduct research, initiate documents for debt collection actions and track debtor accounts.
4. Use common online resources, obtain and analyze routine financial information on debtors to determine their present and future potential ability to pay.
5. Communicate with debtors to present options for debt payments, answer questions, explain pertinent procedures, clarify information, and work cases to resolution.
6. Prepare payment plans which involve reviewing financial asset information the debtor has submitted.
7. Other duties as assigned.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Work will be performed on a full time (40 hours per week) as applicable over a five-day work week, Monday thru Friday except Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility.
PRIMARY PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Oxford, MS
Clearance Level Required: Must be able to pass a Federal Background check.
