Join Freeman Health System in Joplin, Missouri as the Nursing Director of Medical/Oncology, our largest in-patient unit! The Nursing Director will manage the frontline nursing staff and ensure continual delivery of excelle nt patient care. The nursing team includes Registered Nurses, Graduate Nurses, Nurse Technicians, Nursing Students and Unit Secretaries.
Medical/Oncology is equipped with 43 private rooms and heals patients with a wide variety of diagnoses including Respiratory Illness, GI Illness, Diabetes, and General Medical and Non-surgical Oncology patients.The unit focus is on patient care andteamwork with a friendly family culture that allows a supportive work environment. Leadership, flexibility, and strong nursing skills are valued qualities in this position.
Job Summary Works independently as a Director to plan, implement, direct, coordinate and evaluate the clinical functions of the Medical/Oncology unit. Collaborates with other management team members to develop and foster an effective clinical climate working jointly with administration, physicians, and staff; develop the departmental mission, vision, values, goals, long range plans, services, an d capital and operational budgets, and approve policies and procedures.
Requirements Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state.Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Master’s degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or Business Administration.
