Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics in Kansas City is seeking a Pediatric Urologist to join their team which currently! includes two pediatric urologists, three nurse practitioners and other professionals with knowledge and experience in the area of Pediatric Urology. Our pediatric urology section serves a high volume of patients who are drawn here from all of Kansas, Western Missouri, and other adjacent states.
We are interested in applicants who are in, or have completed, training at an ABU accredited fellowship. Individuals with interest in any niche of practice will find opportunities here. We have special interest in persons with experience and expertise in the areas of Urolithiasis & Reconstruction, but our shortage of manpower results in flexibility and the ability to develop nearly any focus of interest.
Our combined urology/general surgery service includes a developing fetal surgery service in the Elizabeth J. Ferrell Fetal Health Center; a Spinal Defects clinic; a DUCK (Dysfunctional Urological Conditions in Kids) Clinic; and a GUIDE Clinic - treating patients with disorde! rs of sexual differentiation, and a developing bladder and clo! acal exstrophy clinic. Our multispecialty team benefits from a monthly Nephrology/Radiology/Urology Conference conducted for integrated assessment and care of complex patients.
Our Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery and available da Vinci Surgical Robot support our emphasis on minimally invasive surgical procedures. Additionally, the Center for Prospective Clinical Trials was established to address issues and conduct studies with the potential to influence surgical practice. In so doing, we have initiated 23 prospective clinical trials to date.
Our affiliation with the KUMC Urology Program and with UMKC & CMH’s Pediatric Surgery Fellowship programs allow for our faculty to teach rotating residents and fellows.

Children’s Mercy Hospitals & Clinics is a free-standing, independent pediatric clinical, academic and research medical center with two hospitals which are located in Kansas City, MO, and Overland Park, KS.
