This position is responsible for maintaining an accurate and complete chargemaster to insure appropriate reimbursement and compliance with governmental billing regulations across t! he Mercy SSU's. This position will work closely with multidisciplinary teams within each SSU in development of pricing / formulary strategies and rate modeling and continued work in standardizing the CDM. This position will perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the Mercy mission, values and guiding principles.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree or comparable work experience with emphasis in Health Information Management / Finance/Nursing or related field.
Experience:
1. Significant experience in coding and CDM knowledge at an acute care hospital, including awareness of the payor mix specific to Mercy entities and the specific coding requirements based on those payors.
2. Experience working with Fiscal Intermediaries (FI) requirements and the ability to obtain working knowledge of all FI's utilized across Mercy entities and how the CMS regulations are interpreted.3. Three - five years health ca! re experience.
Other: 1. Excellent organizatio! nal, analytical and communication skills.2. Ability to work with minimal supervision to accomplish and carry out goals/ objectives.3. Some travel required.4. Location for position is in St. Louis

Certifications: CPC. CPC-H, RHIA, RHIT, RN
