Description: Hannibal Regional Hospital is employing Utilization Management Nurse right now, this vacancy will be placed in Missouri. Coordinates patient care and services that balances the delivery of quality patient care with cost effective utilization of resources. Facilitates and monitors the effective ! delivery of services with interdisciplinary team through patient care conferences, discharge planning and physician rounding. Performs concurrent clinical reviews to determine the appropriateness of admission, continued need for care delivery, appropriate level of care and use of clinical resources in the acute hospital setting. Provides clinical reviews to claims/insurance personnel to facilitate reimbursement for the delivery of patient care services.
Serves as a resource in the Emergency Department to faciliate the admission process and appropriate level of care.
