Job Title: Labor & Deliver Registered Nurse - $15,000 Sign-on, Relocation Job Location: Greenville, NC Job Desc! ription: Vidant Medical Center has an immediate need for a Labor & Delivery RN in Greenville, NC. As a designated Baby Friendly Hospital, our Family Centered Maternity Newborn Care is a strong value of Vidant Medical Center. Our goal is to keep mothers and babies together utilizing mother/baby couplet care as our model. Partnering with patients and families to make their experience exceptional is our goal. As one of only three designated Baby Friendly Hospitals in North Carolina, we value the importance of breastfeeding. Responsibilities: Assesses/reassess patients condition based upon observation of patient and interview of patient and/or family, physicians diagnosis and data, diagnostic results, and relevant data from other healthcare providers. Documents all aspects of patient care and maintains patient records, in a timely manner. Provides patients and family members with relevant health care education and instructions regarding treatments and procedures including pre/p! ost hospital care as appropriate. Delegates responsibility to ! appropriate personnel, as well as, accepts delegated responsibility for function such as, but not limited to, charge nurse for unit activities on assigned shift. Assists in the orientation and training of new and tenured personnel, reassigned nurses, student nurses, patient care assistants, and faculty; serves as a preceptor when requested and submits appropriate documentation in a timely manner. Responds to internal/external disaster as directed.
