Description
:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional practitioner who manages and directs nursing care activities during the patient's Ambulatory Care Unit visit and coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
Provides safe, quality nursing care to all ACU patients.
Accurately assesses patient upon admission.
Assures proper patient education and discharge planning.
Ensures that appropriate documentation and requisitions are completed for each patient.
Makes pre and post-operative phone calls to ACU patients.
Responsible for charges and data entry.
Demonstrates professional integrity.
Responds to and cooperates with the need to assist the hospital as a whole, in times of need.
Assists with the care and upkeep of the ACU.
Qualifications
:
Current Missouri Registered Nurse license required.
Previous clinical experience required. Critical care experience desired.
