PHARMACY TECH

Description: Freeman Health System is at present looking to employ PHARMACY TECH right now, this job will be placed in Missouri. More details about this job opportunity kindly see the descriptions. Responds to the needs of the department, nursing and physician staff, and patients. Ensures delivery and availability of medications to patient care areas, profiles patient's orders and performs necessary pharmacy module functions, monitors functionality of pharmacy equipments and performs necessary routine matintenance, assists in inventory management and performs clerical duties as required. Must be registered with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Prefer National Technician Certification and previous work experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
Must recognize most pharmaceuticals with a basic understanding of dosage, dosage forms and routes of administration.
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to utilize Pyxis, and Talyst pharmacy applications. Ability to organize and prioritize work load. Proficiency in basic mathematical skills required to calculate doses and for order entry functionality.
