Elsevier, the market leader in Health Science information, seeks an Inside Sales â" Education Sales Consultant based out of our home office in St. Louis, MO. The goal of this position is to promote health science content and electronic products to nursing, allied health, and medical programs in private sector education companies by actively selling to educators and executives in a B2B environment.
The consultant must be able to identify customer needs through solution-based selling techniques and have the ability to demonstrate the full value of the Elsevier suite of products. This position is responsible to increase revenue and achieve sales goals by creating mutually beneficial relationships and partnering with customers in the assigned territory.

Qualifications
The successful candidate must be self-driven and have excellent communication, presentation, sales, organizational, and computer skills.
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work autonomously with above average skills in self-learning and prioritization. The candidate must be detail-oriented, possess the ability to manage the sales process with multiple customers at all stages and maintain excellent customer support across the territory. This role requires an individual with the ability to probe, recognize customersâ needs, convey solutions and maintain a positive and professional image via telephone, email, webinar and in person. Excellent follow up, negotiation skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines are role requirements.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of achievement in educational and professional endeavors.
Health science/publishing experience is helpful, but not required. Candidates should have a genuine interest in health science education and the integration of technology into the educational arena. A Bachelor's level degree and a minimum of 1-2 years of sales experience are required for this role.
