The Licensed Practical Nurse will support Family Counseling Center's belief of Empowering Consumer Recovery. They will provide quality residential nursing services as assigned to the consumers and assure tha! t consumers are provided necessary services in a timely manner.
DUTIES
Dispense medication
Monitor vital signs
Monitor consumers and report any physical or emotionally changes to the proper staff
Assist consumers at mealtime
Assure appropriate consumer orientation and involvement
Assure consumers in achieving self-help group participation.
Assist in the supervision of recreational and educational activities.
Assist in the planning and implementation of special projects conducted within the program or in the community.
Assist in the maintenance of accurate client records.
Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
Assist consumer with personal grooming and housekeeping if needed.
Accept responsibility to assist or lead treatment classes if requested.
Prepare by sanitizing and cleaning client rooms following consumer discharge
Maintain confidentiality standards set forth in the Policy and Procedure Man! ual.
Maintain and improve professional competencies by in-! service training and other educational opportunities.
Participate in staff meetings at which information concerning programs and consumers is shared.
Serve as an appropriate role model for consumers
Follow guidelines set forth in the Policy and Procedure Manual.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Missouri
Requires the ability to accurately record and communicate diverse information and monitor information recorded by other team members and consumers for accuracy and content.
Maintain current CPR certification
Maintain current CPI certification
Maintain current Developmental Disability Medication Aide certification
Requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Must exhibit a professional appearance and work ethic at all times.
