POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides and supervises mental health care for inmates of the Missouri Department of Corrections. Evaluates patient care and assesses what is required in the way of treatment; condition and adequacy of treatment facilities and programs; need for and condition of necessary equipment. Acts as consultant for the medical physicians. Attends onsite meetings as determined by the contract. Provide emergency and ongoing direct clinical services. See patients on a schedule as determined by their clinical need and as scheduled by the DOC facility scheduler. Reviews medical orders and treatment plans for assigned patients. Participates in Peer Review as needed. Participates in on-call schedule. Position includes 32 hours per week of hands on clinical work with 8 hours per week of administrative work.
