The Division of Hematology/Oncology is seeking a fu! ll-time physician to join our Bone Marrow Transplantation team. The Hematology/Oncology Division includes 20 BC hematologists/oncologists. Personnel dedicated to the BMT program include 2.5 physicians, 4 midlevel providers, inpatient and outpatient nurses with special training for BMT patients, 2 nurse coordinators (case managers), a Pharm D, nutritionist, social worker, and 2 CRA’s. Our team also includes a chaplain, a child psychologist, and 2 child-life specialists. Children’s Mercy Hospital is a BMT Center for COG, the NMDP, the PBMTC, and is a member of the NHLBI’s BMT Clinical Trials Network Steering Committee, and the IBMTR. The BMT Program partners with the adult BMT Program at KU Medical Center to comprise the Kansas City BMT Consortium. There is a new 25 room H/O inpatient unit (including an adjoining 14 bed BMT unit) with state-of-the-art air handling abilities allowing patients free movement throughout. The person accepting this position will exhibit excel! lent clinical skills combined with a desire to advance the fie! ld of BMT through research and collaboration. Academic appointment is with the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, where we are the primary pediatric teaching site for students, residents and fellows. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience. EOE/AAP
